Neighbor stops Christmas Eve burglary

A neighbor on Christmas Eve stopped a burglary at 4923 Joseph Drive and held one of the suspects until police arrived.

Colorado Springs police arrested Klarissa Watson, the woman who was detained by the neighbor, and is seeking two others involved in the burglary.

According to police, the neighbor saw the three coming out of his neighbor’s house carrying items and loading them into a vehicle. He went back into his house and grabbed a handgun and confronted the suspects in front of the home.

The suspects entered the home by breaking the rear sliding glass door with a brick and ransacked the interior, police said. They found the keys to the homeowner’s car and were putting the stolen goods into the car.
