Authorities are asking for the public's help in an investigation into the shooting death of a 26-year-old man whose body was found in a shallow grave outside of Woodland Park in July 2011.
Dan Edwards, an investigator with the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office, said Monday the investigation into John B. Hogan's death has been active, but has not produced significant leads.
"We've been working diligently on it and exhausted all of our leads," he said. "We want to see if there's anybody out there who may know something, or saw something, who can give us a hand."
Hogan, a Mitchell High School graduate, was house-sitting on Elk Lane and was last heard from on July 5, 2011. He was reported missing July 7, and his body was found the next day. At the time, authorities said that neighbors were not in danger.Anyone with information regarding his death is asked to call Edwards at 520-6011 or Teller County Sheriff's Office Detective Dennis Sherman at 687-9652.
