UPDATE: The El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that Salvadore Pritchett, 23, was arrested Monday at about 10:20 p.m. by the Pueblo police.
Pritchett was booked into the Pueblo County jail on outstanding warrants that included one connected to a shooting Sunday at the Days Inn hotel near Circle Drive and Janitell Road in Colorado Springs.
A man wanted in connection with a shooting at a Colorado Springs Days Inn on Sunday has been identified as Salvadore Pritchett, 23, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office reported Monday.
An arrest warrant for Pritchett has been issued, accusing him on suspicion of criminal intent -- first-degree murder; criminal attempt -- aggravated robbery; felony menacing; and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
The sheriff's office was called to the Days Inn at 2850 S. Circle Drive at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on a report of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found evidence of a shooting, but no victim or suspect.
Investigators later found that the 22-year-old victim had been taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the face. He was conscious and able to talk to investigators and medical staff.
Pritchett may have ties to the Pueblo area, the sheriff's office said. He has an active arrest warrant from from the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office for burglary and escape.
Anyone with information on Pritchett's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 390-5555. He is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
