Vickers Drive in central Colorado Springs was closed briefly Friday morning as police tried to coax an armed 43-year-old man from a home in the 3100 block.

Police were called to the residence just before 1:30 a.m. after two people reported that Matthew Glandorf had allegedly threatened one of them with a gun.

When police arrived, Glandorf was still in the home and was apparently "loading assault rifles," according to the CSPD police blotter.

Officers contacted Glandorf by telephone and he eventually surrendered peacefully. Glandorf was arrested on suspicion of menacing and assault. He is being held in the El Paso County jail.
