An art project by Aliza Stevens Vick, a second grader at Scott Elementary School, was selected to be part of an exhibit that traveled with the
National Christmas Tree to Washington, D.C.

Her artwork was one of only six pieces to be selected in a competition juried by photographer John Fielder and Ben Nighthorse Campbell.

The exhibition traveled to the Agriculture Building, the Native American Museum and finally the Capitol Building for the tree lighting ceremony.
