A thief Friday afternoon stole one of The Salvation Army’s famous red kettles from a Colorado Springs Wal-Mart at 5550 East Woodmen Road.
This is the second kettle stolen in Colorado Springs this year, the Salvation Army said. The first theft occurred November 30 at the Wal-Mart at 8250 Razorback Road.
The Salvation has other Christmas woes. The traditional Red Kettle Campaign is down $35,000 compared to this time last year. The goal is $600,000.
