Investigators have found the 12-year-old girl who has been missing since 4 p.m. Friday in Manitou Springs.

She has been identified as Emily Hermenitt. Hermenitt has Asperger's syndrome.

Hermenitt, who tends to hide from people searching for her, has done this before, said Steve Sperry, spokesman for El Paso County Search and Rescue, which was involved in the search.

"She plays a soldier game," Sperry said. "She's pretty good for a 12-year-old."

Hermenitt became separated from her family in the Ruxton Avenue and Winter Street area near the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, authorities said.

Several agencies were involved in the five-hour search, which took place over much of Manitou Springs.
