Flight For Life transported one victim and an ambulance took another to a Colorado Springs hospital after a one-car rollover on Highway 67 Monday evening.

The rollover occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Monday about nine miles north of Cripple Creek, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Nate Reid.

Northbound Highway 67 was closed for a time while Flight For Life landed on scene.

Both victims, including 74-year-old Lawson Schaber who was air lifted, are in serious condition, Reid said. A spokesman for Penrose Hospital confirmed Tuesday afternoon that Schaber is a patient and remained in serious condition.

Winter driving conditions may have contributed to the accident, Reid said.
