UPDATE: 1 arrrested after SE Springs shooting spree

Colorado Springs police have arrested 19-year-old Denzel Sanchez after several reports of gunfire Thursday night on the city's southeast side.

One shooting victim was sent to the hospital.

Sanchez is charged with attempted first degree murder and was booked into the El Paso County jail.

Colorado Springs police are trying to sort out multiple reports of gunfire on the city's southeast side and a possible rolling gun battle between two vehicles.

One shooting victim showed up at Fountain Boulevard and Circle Drive and was taken to the hospital. Police at the scene said the wounds did not appear to be life threatening. He apparently was shot near Fountain and Jetwing.

Officers were initially dispatched at 8:30 p.m. to the area of Astrozon Boulevard and South Chelton Road to investigate reports of occupants in two vehicles driving down the road shooting at each other.

From there the investigation spread to several different areas within blocks of each other, including an area near Doherty Drive and Lancaster Drive and the 2600 block of East Fountain Boulevard.
