Firefighters were rolling to a reported small brush fire in the foothills above Cheyenne Canyon Road west of Colorado Springs Saturday afternoon.

A small plume of a smoke was visible from downtown. Forest Service crews were alerted, but as of Saturday afternoon had not found anything.

Firefighters were on high alert for wildfires Saturday after the National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for high fire danger in parts of El Paso and Teller counties.

The fire danger was expected to ebb Saturday evening.
