Colorado Springs Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn is scheduled for an appearance on cable's Fox News Sunday morning to discuss the Sept. 11 attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, his office announced in a news release.
The congressman is set to appear on the American News Headquarters show at 10:30 a.m.
Lamborn, a member of the House Armed Services Committee who cruised to re-election for a fourth term earlier this month, "will discuss the latest on the investigation into the deaths of four Americans at the Benghazi consulate," the news release said.
The Benghazi attack has drawn Republican fire in recent weeks, with claims that the White House covered up what it knew about the terrorists responsible for the death and that President Barack Obama didn't do enough to save Americans there.
In the past week, top military and intelligence officials have addressed the attacks before closed sessions of congressional intelligence oversight committees. Those testifying have included former CIA director David Petraeus, who resigned this month after admitting an affair.
