We expect there would be a bit more leniancy here in Colorado for a kid Tebowing during a graduation ceremony, but that was not the case in Florida.

A Fort Myers, Fla., teenager had his diploma withheld and was ordered to clean the school gym as punishment for Tebowing on stage during his graduation ceremony.

Chuck Shriner, a 17-year-old football player at the private Fort Myers Catholic school, performed the popular pose - named for quarterback Tim Tebow - Saturday and said he was shocked at his punishment, Naples News reported Tuesday.

"I just thought it was fun," Shriner said. "I was just doing it to make graduation memorable."

In December, two New York athletes were suspended by school administrators for organizing several "kneel-downs" in tribute to Tebow, who said at the time that while he appreciated their boldness, the students have to obey their elders.
