ASPEN — Aspen travel officials say tourism is reaching a peak for New Year's Eve and it's shaping up to be one of the busiest holiday seasons in years.

Stay Aspen Snowmass President Bill Tomcich says Thursday is expected to be the busiest day for holiday crowds in Aspen and nearby Snowmass Village since the 2007-2008 season. Tomcich says every inbound flight through Thursday is sold out.

The Aspen Times reports (http://goo.gl/L80EH ) that the airport ramp is crowded with private jets and there's little parking available downtown. The most recent occupancy report has Aspen hotels expected to be 90 percent full and hotels in Snowmass Village expected to be 80 percent full and reservations are still coming in.
