The Green Cities Coalition, the Sierra Club and the League of Women Voters of the Pikes Peak Region will sponsor three educational forums on hydraulic fracturing and potential impacts of drilling.

All are free and open to the public.

The first will be 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, in the Centennial building, room 186. The agenda includes a discussion on future drilling on the Banning Lewis Ranch and a screening of the Emmy award-winning documentary, “Split Estate.”

The second forum will feature Wes Wilson, the Environmental Protection Agency whistleblower portrayed in “Gasland,” along with excerpts from the Sundance award-winning documentary. It will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Fountain Library, 230 S. Main St., in Fountain.

A full screening of “Gasland” will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the Sand Creek Library, 1821 S. Academy Blvd.
