A woman was uninjured after a gunshot blasted her phone in her back pants pocket Friday night.

Colorado Springs police are investigating the shooting at The Southpointe Apartments in the 3900 block of Lakehurst Drive.

Officers were called out to the complex at about 11 p.m. after reports of approximately 10 rounds being fired, a police report said. They found several shell casings in the area.

The woman told officers that she was standing outside of building 3815 when her cell phone was struck by a bullet. The phone was ruined, but she wasn't hurt.

Another resident in the complex, told police that he was in his apartment when a bullet blasted through the wall of his apartment, whizzed over his head and ricocheted off the wall behind him.
