Family and friends continued a massive search Tuesday for a missing Colorado Springs woman.

Dan Heriford said 3,500 fliers have been distributed by more than 100 people to the surrounding neighborhood where his mother, Deborah Heriford, 51, went missing Thursday. He plans to distribute another 2,500 fliers with members of her church, Vista Grande Baptist Church, beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

“We’ve been scouring the area,” said Dan Heriford at his mother’s house on the 2700 block of Maroon Bells Avenue. “We’ve gone to… libraries and residences, anywhere we can.”

Deborah Heriford’s dog was found running around her neighborhood and on Friday, she did not show up for her job as a crossing guard for Academy School District 20.

Family members checked the house and nothing was missing except Heriford’s cell phone and keys. Her car was parked at her home and there was no indication that the mother of four — who spoke daily with family members — planned to take a trip, police said. There were no signs of forced entry.

Sgt. Steve Noblitt, police spokesman, did not release any new information in the case Tuesday.

“This is a suspicious missing person case,” said Sgt. Steve Noblitt, police spokesman. “We’re investigating it and we’re not ruling anything in or out at this point.”
