Academy School District 20 Deputy Superintendent Heidi Pace will be leaving July 1 for the superintendent’s post in Summit School District. The mountain district serves more than 3,000 students in communities including Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne.

Pace became District 20’s deputy superintendent in 2007. She first came to the district in 1983 as an intern from Colorado College. She was hired as a teacher the following year.

Since then, she’s served in a variety of positions. She’s worked extensively with principals and on curriculum, instruction and the district calendar. She also was instrumental in leadership training that led to many administrators coming from the ranks of district employees.
