All westbound lanes of U.S. 24 near Cascade were closed for several hours Friday night while Colorado state troopers investigate a crash that killed a motorcyclist.

The 39-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on U.S. 24 about 8 p.m. when he lost control and hit the guardrail, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The man's name has not been released.
