Arrest warrant issued for burglary suspect

Colorado Springs police issued an arrest warrant for Calvin Jones, 28, on suspicion of first-degree burglary, harassment and violation of a protection order after they said he was involved in a home burglary Thursday morning.

A woman told police she was awakened around 2:40 a.m. when she heard a loud banging noise from the front of her apartment on the 3300 block of Fountain Boulevard. She said her ex-boyfriend, identified as Jones, and his sister were standing in her bedroom and a verbal altercation ensued.

The victim told police Jones' sister hit her in the face, causing minor injuries. The front door to the residence was damaged, police said.

Officers searched the area for Jones but did not locate him or his sister.
