Gazette Premium Content AROUND TOWN: The Weekly Standard brings top conservative figures to Broadmoor

By Linda Navarro Updated: May 13, 2013 at 12:54 pm

The mountains served as the backdrop for a weekend of conservative interaction and thought-provoking discussions as the first Weekly Standard Broadmoor Symposium came to the resort May 3-5, drawing participants from across the country.

Kicking it off was a shotgun-start golf tournament on the resort’s West Course and a barbecue dinner at Cheyenne Lodge atop Cheyenne Mountain where the Flying W Wranglers entertained.

Among the top names participating was columnist Charles Krauthammer. (See Gazette Editorial Page Editor Wayne Laugesen’s Q&A with him: http://tinyurl.com/cyhb27d.)
Others included Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes and Michael Barone.
