The September rain pounding down outside didn't stop more than 600 people from venturing out to the fourth annual Building the Dream Luncheon at The Broadmoor. All were invited by The Resource Exchange's volunteer corps.

The benefit/public awareness event was for The Resource Exchange and its programs to build independence for people with developmental disabilities.

Setting the theme "ubuntu - I am because we are" - were the African Root Djembe Drummers and the Gotta Dance Troupe.

Signature sponsor Integrity Bank & Trust matched all new and increased donations up to $5,000.
