People must have been coming down with cases of spring fever because Gleneagle Sertoma's annual "Spirits of Spring" brought out a record crowd to a new site, ProRodeo Hall of Fame, on May 4.

There were wine and food tastings offered by local vendors, long tables laden with silent auction items and a live auction of trips to Ireland, Paris, Africa and Napa Valley.

More than 300 people helped raise money for The Home Front Cares, Tri-Lakes Cares and Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care.

A delighted but extremely tired Sertoman, Todd Sherman, said the event was so successful they're going for bigger and better next year, too.

The club has a short time to rest up because its annual Patriot Golf Tournament honoring first responders and all branches of the military is Sept. 16 at Flying Horse Golf Course. Info: gleneaglesertoma.org

The club's board members include: Rae Berg, Paul Dickard, Bob Duckworth, Sherry Edwards, Dennis Egan, Bob Figgie, Joe Gray, Duane Gritzmaker, Denny Meyer and Bill Nance.
