AROUND TOWN: COPPeR Party at Ivywild School wraps up Peak Arts Fund campaign

A successful $50,000 Peak Arts Fund campaign to benefit 18 area arts organizations was a wrap on Aug. 14 at The Ivywild School.

A successful $50,000 Peak Arts Fund campaign to benefit 18 area arts organizations was a wrap on Aug. 14 at The Ivywild School. The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPeR) was the host and had the happy duty of passing out checks to the groups.

The evening's entertainers - besides comic emcees Sally Hybl and Amy Sue Lambert - were from Millibo Art Theatre, Colorado Springs Conservatory and the Velvet Hills Show Chorus.

The 18 arts recipients: Business of Art Center, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, Colorado Springs Children's Chorale, Colorado Springs Choral Society, Colorado Springs Conservatory, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association, Cottonwood Center for the Arts, Imagination Celebration, Millibo Art Theatre, Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Ormao Dance Company, Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival, TheatreWorks, Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts and Velvet Hills Show Chorus.
