Gold Hill Mesa Community Center atop a hillside surrounded by mountains turned into an "Evening in Tuscany" for a July 25 get-together and wine tasting presented by Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance.

There was networking under the giant tent on the patio, a flurry of business-card exchanges, an Italian buffet and an opportunity to see the touching Faces of the Fire, the Waldo Canyon fire exhibit that closes the end of August. There was also time to see, swirl, smell and sip n' savor as guests learned the fine points of wine tasting. Celebrity pourers were from the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

Susan Edmondson received the Brava Donna Award for being a successful businesswoman who gives back to her community.

The evening's sponsors included Southern Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, Pinnacol Assurance, Adams Bank & Trust, The Gazette, Cravings, Downtown Fine Spirits & Wines, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Five Star Decor, Proforma Mark-It Pros and Faces of the Fire.
