A 21-year-old allegedly driving drunk hit cars and poles early Thursday before trying to run away on foot, Colorado Springs police said.

Kashaun Antonio told police he was drinking at a downtown bar when he decided to leave about 1 a.m. and stole his friend's car to do it, police said. On the way home, he hit two parked cars on North Franklin Street and kept driving until he hit a light pole on East Boulder street, police said.

Antonio tried to run away and dodged getting shot with a stun gun before officers arrested him. He faces charges of motor vehicle theft, DUI, careless driving and hit and run, police said.
