Air Force’s Shane Starrett and Brady Tomlak earned Atlantic Hockey weekly honors by helping lead the No. 20 Falcons to a road sweep at Bentley last weekend. Starrett received the goalie award while Tomlak garnered rookie accolades.

The sophomore goaltender from Bellingham, Mass., stopped 51 of the 53 shots he faced for a 1.00 goals-against average and a .962 saves percentage for the league series. He made 24 saves on Friday, including a save on a breakaway when Air Force held a 2-1 lead in the second period. On Saturday, he made 27 saves including another save on a breakaway in the first period of a scoreless game.

The Oakland, Mich. freshman winger tallied three points in the Bentley series. He was also a plus-3 and won 17 faceoffs.

The weekly award was Starrett’s third this season and eighth of his career. It was Tomlak’s first career honor.
