Air Force forward Kyle Haak was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) academic All-American third team for the 2016-17 season.

He majors in physics with a minor in nuclear weapons and strategy with a 3.95 grade-point average.

The Okemos, Mich., native was one of four sophomores (out of 45 honorees) recognized. Here is a feature on Haak focusing on how he led the entire second-year class at the service academy and, at the time, paced the Atlantic Hockey Conference playoff champion Falcons (27-10-5) and helped them reach the NCAA East Regional final.

On the ice, the 6-foot, 195-pounder finished second on the team in points with a career high 33 (19 assists) in 41 games.
