European tour with Philharmonic conductor
Members of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic's Maestro's Circle are invited to attend a European tour with Conductor Josep Caball?Domenech. He will conduct Bizet's "Carmen" at the Semperoper in Dresden, Germany, in October. Members of the Maestro's Circle give $1,000 per year and make a three-year commitment. The trip, Oct. 21-30, costs $4,195 without airfare and $5,245 with airfare. Western Jubilee and Scott O'Malley honored
Scott O'Malley and Western Jubilee Recording Co. were honored by The American Cowboy Culture Association in collaboration with the National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration at an awards banquet in Lubbock, Texas, this month for their commitment and dedication to the preservation of Western heritage and cowboy culture.
Local wins singing competition
Felicia Millikan, of Colorado Springs, was recently named grand prize winner of TGI Fridays Red Hot Summer of Music competition with a YouTube rendition of the song "The A Team." She will receive a recording session coached by R&B recording artist Ne-Yo and a $1,000 Fridays gift card.
