Accion, a nonprofit with a Denver office that makes loans and provides training to entrepreneurs, will expand its lending in Colorado Springs area by offering to meet with potential borrowers from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays every month at the Sand Creek branch of the Pikes Peak Library District, 1821 S. Academy Blvd.

The office hours will start Feb. 13. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by emailing coloradosprings@accionco.org or by contacting loan officers Ryan Flanders at rflanders@accionco.org or Jennifer Siegel at jsiegel@accionco.org. The group said it is expanding its lending efforts after its lending in the area jumped 42 percent last year.
