What is the single most important action Congress can take to reduce gun violence?

Congress needs to fix healthcare. We have a mental health crisis and the federal government has continued to make it harder and harder to get the care we need. Our veterans in particular deserve better care, and Congress must avoid stigmatizing mental health by threatening a one-size fits all policy to take guns away from law-abiding citizens. These types of decisions and processes are best left to local law enforcement and not politicized by our dysfunctional Congress.

What are the top three needs specific to the 5th Congressional District that you will make your priorities in Congress?

- We must boost our military technology and development to ensure superiority over rising threats throughout the world, especially with regard to Russia and China.

- We have to strengthen the relationships between business and military leaders and our local and national politicians to make sure that voices from the Colorado Springs business community are being heard and that all regions of CD5 are involved.

- We absolutely must pass a budget, and pass a balanced budget that cuts wasteful spending and money going to Planned Parenthood, while ensuring that we pass a strong and stable government on to the next generation.

What do you bring to this race that none of your opponents can offer?

Actions speak louder than words, and results are better than both. Over the last 6 years I have helped make Colorado the top state in the nation for school choice as well as protecting our children's data and increasing transparency in government. I have personally introduced bills to defund planned parenthood, repeal the magazine ban, cut taxes and fees, reduce regulation, and protect free speech. These successes have all come because I am present and available in the community and give my personal cell phone out on every business card and communication: 719-210-1086.
