Colorado Springs' second annual Urban Living Tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at six downtown locations. The event is presented by the Downtown Partnership and sponsored by the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado.
The tour gives the public an idea of what it's like to live in an urban environment, where residents can walk to restaurants, bars, museums and other amenities. The tour also showcases the area's new apartment and loft projects.
Tickets are $10 in advance at www.DowntownCS.com/ULT. On Saturday, tickets will be $15 and available only at tour locations. Participants can begin their self-guided tour at any of the six locations and will receive an urban living guidebook at their first stop.
This year's tour stops are: three lofts at 9 S. Weber St; four apartments, a clubhouse and rooftop patio at 22 N. Spruce St.; two units at 210 Pueblo Ave.; two units at Blue Dot Place, 412 S. Nevada Ave.; a single residence at Boulder Crescent, 30 Boulder Crescent; and four units, a clubhouse, pool and recreation area at ECO Apartments, 333 E. Colorado Ave.
ECO participants must wear hard hats and flat, closed-toe shoes because of construction and children under 16 won't be allowed. Tour participants also might have to climb stairs to see the project's fifth floor.
