Law enforcement officials are offering a $20,000 reward for information on the murder of a Park County teen.
Seventeen-year-old Maggie Long's body was found inside her family's home after it burned down. The home at 3700 County Road 43 in Bailey caught fire Dec. 1, the same day Long's family notified the sheriff's office of their concerns for her whereabouts after she did not go to a concert at Platte Canyon High School, where she was a senior.
The sheriff's office - along with federal and state law enforcement officials - have declared the case a homicide.
In the days following her death, investigators told law enforcement officers to watch for a late model 1990s to 2000 light-colored minivan possibly driven by a man in his 20s who is heavily armed with weapons and ammunition and may have flash burns from the fire.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation Director John Camper says gasoline, a large green safe, jade figurines, a handgun and AK-47-style firearm were stolen during the crime, CBS Denver reported.
