A man and woman were arrested after an illegal pot operation and several cloned credit cards were found inside a Peyton home, Colorado Springs police said Wednesday.
Andres Pedrioso Cuellar, 35, and Lianet Casimiro Rubido, 18, are suspected of identity theft, while Cuellar also is accused of operating an illegal marijuana grow after investigators raided a home in the 9100 block of Sunningdale Drive in Peyton, police said.
The regional Metro Vice and Narcotics Unit deployed with the police's Financial Crimes Unit after a Colorado Springs resident reported that their credit card was used at a local business without their permission.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect using the card, which led investigators to the Peyton home after a tipster reported the location with a possible illegal marijuana grow, police said.
Investigators found the illegal grow as well as re-coded and cloned credit cards belonging to 15 victims of identity theft, police said.
Both Cuellar and Rubido were booked into El Paso County jail on $50,000 bonds.
