LONGMONT — Authorities say two adults have been arrested in connection with a fire in a pile of railroad ties in Longmont that continues to burn.

According to KMGH-TV (http://tinyurl.com/nkeqcgj ), two suspects were detained. Details about the arrests were not available.

The flames melted power lines, and the city-owned electric utility says about 300 customers lost power for an hour. Several traffic lights were knocked out.

The fire is near a sewage treatment plant, but authorities say it has not been damaged.
