El Paso County motor vehicle branches are closed Friday due to a statewide network outage.

The outage was caused by cut fiber optics lines. It is affecting all five motor vehicle branches in the county, the county tweeted, as well as the Pueblo County Motor Vehicle Registration Office, according to the Pueblo County Facebook page.

“Unfortunately, we are continuing to experience problems for all motor vehicle and driver’s license services. We have been working hard this morning to try to resolve the problems, but connections have been intermittent,” said Clerk and Recorder Chuck Broerman. “We appreciate our customers’ understanding and patience.”

Recording, marriage license and election services still are available.

Check back for updates on Saturday's hours.
