GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Relatives and friends of the 14 firefighters who were killed when a wildfire trapped them on Storm King Mountain in western Colorado 20 years ago returned to the site of the tragedy Sunday to remember their loved ones.

Kenny Frost, a Southern Ute spiritual leader, gave the blessing and sang around a group of crosses paying homage to the firefighters.

Jim Roth is the older brother of Roger Roth, a member of the Prineville, Oregon, Hot Shots who was among the firefighters who died that day. He told the Glenwood Springs Post Independent (http://bit.ly/1vOJ7Wb ) the memorial was "incredibly meaningful."

A rapid change in weather created raging winds that fueled 100-foot flames, and the firefighters were unable to escape as the fire raced up a hillside.
