One man was arrested and another is being sought after shots were fired Saturday night at a vehicle in northeast Colorado Springs, police said.
Police said Daniel Lovato, 38, and Robert Lamont, 30, were in a white sedan when they fired shots from handguns at a white Dodge Durango near North Hancock Avenue and Westmoreland Road. A caller reported the gunfire just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Durango sped away, and police said it is unknown if anyone in the vehicle was hit.
The caller followed the white sedan and reported the vehicle's directions to police. Officers tried to pull over the vehicle near Jackson Street and North Wahsatch Avenue, where Lovato jumped out and was arrested.
He is suspected of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and possession of a Schedule II drug, police said.
Lamont, who drove away in the sedan, has not been found. He is wanted on several offenses, including possession of a weapon by previous offender, felony vehicular eluding and distribution of a Schedule II drug.
